Vanessa Raw

I started Triathlon in January 2005 after coming to the University to study Fine Art in October 2004. My best results came in 2006 with a 4th in the U23 Worlds, 10th in Beijing World Cup Olympic test event but spent most of 2007-2009 injured. I graduated with a 2:1 BA Fine art degree in June 2010 and I’m currently working as an artist along side being a professional triathlete.

Favourite UK Triathlon: Windsor – partly due to the great support on the course and always seems to be great weather!
Favourite International Triathlon: British
Loves and interests (other than triathlon): Painting, being creative, seeing art, traveling, coffee, books, psychology, philosophy, fashion…

My main aim is to make the Olympic team, or at least fulfil my potential.
